Quick Facts

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Simmering time: 10 minutes
Use: Room fragrance

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp dried rose petals
  • 1 handful fresh mint
  • 1 tsp dried lavender
  • 1 lemongrass stalk, sliced
  • 1 litre water

Method

  1. Place all the botanicals and water in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Simmer for 10 minutes and top up the water as needed.
  4. Turn off the heat when the desired fragrance is reached.

Ways to Enjoy It

Use the gentle aroma to fragrance a well-ventilated room. This is a stovetop infusion, not a distilled hydrosol. If you are looking for a botanical steam for the face, allow the mixture to cool slightly and keep a safe distance from the pan.

Plant Notes

Rose, mint, lavender and lemongrass contribute complementary floral, fresh and citrus aromas.

Important Information

Do not drink. Never leave the pan unattended, keep away from children and pets, and avoid leaning over hot steam.
